Leon Jakimic is a Czech entrepreneur, founder and owner of glass making and lighting company, Lasvit, based in Hong Kong.
Leon was an avid tennis player before and dreamt of playing for Czech League for Davis Cup and ATV Tour. A tennis injury made him pivot his dreams and he decided to become an entrepreneur.
Leon saw immense hidden future in the traditional Czech Bohemian glass making industry. He decided to revive the Czech industry and dreamt of making it number one in the world. He himself comes from a family of artisans spanning five generations.
With this aim, he launched his company Lasvit in 2007, in Hong Kong, which combines the authenticity of Czech glass making tradition with innovative technologies and creative craftsmanship.
