Ron Roukema was born in New Jersey and grew up in North Carolina in the US. He had a tough childhood seeing his dad getting disabled at a young age and his mom primarily spending her time as his nurse and caregiver. From the very beginning, Ron developed a deep desire to work with people who produce help and to help them grow and develop, and this eventually led him to a career as an educationist.
